Welcome to Five Star Bernedoodles!

We are a small family run business located in central Pennsylvania. Our home sits on 10 Acres of beautiful farmland set in the rolling hills of the Appalachian Mountains. At Five Star we work together as a family to help care for our 2 horses, 3 sheep, 4 cats, a small flock of pastured chickens and on occasion a few pigs. All of our dogs and puppies grow up meeting many of the animals on the farmette. With plenty of room to run in their own space our puppies get plenty of exercise and are able to freely go in and out as they please. 

With 5 Children we have a large and loving family. The children, especially, love to play, run and cuddle with the puppies. This helps all of our puppies stay active, become more social, and get acquainted with being around small children and pets. Together we care for and raise happy, healthy puppies that have great temperaments. We raise all of our puppies from birth to their forever home. 

Over the years we have raised hundreds of beautiful, adorable puppies, some of our past breeds include Boston Terriers, American Bulldogs, and Goldendoodles but our latest has been our favorite; The Bernedoodle.

About the Stoltzfus Family.

Together as a family we enjoy caring for the puppies. When not with the puppies, we are often busy caring for the other animals on the farmette. During our free time we enjoy taking long walks, playing games with the children and enjoying the time together as a family. During the summer months we enjoy the warm weather with summertime picnics and backyard campfires. When the weather gets colder we turn to fun winter activities such as ice skating on the neighbors pond and sledding when it snows. Our children enjoy hobbies such as reading and making crafts with wood. We like to say they are “Free Range”, meaning giving them the opportunity to learn from the wonderful world we live in without being limited by an educational curriculum. 

Ester, my wife especially loves the warmer months where she gets the chance to play and work in our large garden. We raise and grow a lot of our food naturally, without the use of chemicals or pesticides. In fact we do not allow it on our property as we prefer to stay natural, organic and live a holistic lifestyle. We incorporate this into all aspects of our lives from the cosmetics we wear to the food we eat, living a healthy lifestyle. We treat our pets and animals  the very same, using as many natural and holistic ways as possible to provide them with optimal health.

We say, why not Bernedoodles! We will arguably claim that the Bernedoodle is the best dog on earth! Seven years ago we bought our first Bernese Mountain dog, and the love has grown from there. With the intelligence of the Poodle and the affectionate love from the Bernese, It is simply the best combination. The calm demeanor of the Bernedoodle allows them to be the perfect family pet, service dog or therapy animal.

What Comes with Your Puppy

All of Our puppies are seen by a veterinarian and are checked for any health defects, given vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped prior to leaving our farm. We provide you with all vet records and provide you with a 30 day health guarantee as well as a 2-Year genetic health Guarantee.(add to site) Upon going home we make sure to provide each new puppy parent  with a small amount of food, a toy and a blanket scented with mom and littermates.
